25 January, 2025
On Saturday, January 25th, we celebrate the Cante Alentejano with local wines, tapas, and cuisine.
It’s been 10 years since Cante Alentejano was recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. On Saturday, 25 January, we’ll celebrate Cante Alentejano, the traditional and the new, with the Alentejo Choir Group from Serpa, accompanied by tapas and a special dinner prepared by chef Daniela Ruas.
Between 6.30pm and 8pm, the Alentejo Choral Group from Serpa will take the center stage. Wine, roast chorizo sausage and other local delicacies will accompany ‘Serpa de Guadalupe’ and other songs from their repertoire.
At 8pm, a special dinner will be served, with ‘caldo de cação’ (dogfish broth) and ‘migas’ (breadcrumbs) with entrecote. The dinner, in an intimate setting, will be accompanied by the traditional melodies of Cante, with acoustic performances by members of the new generation of the Choral Group. From €180 for two people, including one night’s stay, dinner and the choir concert.
